Good to Know

  • Sri Lanka is a tropical country, ideal clothing would be cotton and comfortable clothing. Shorts and T-shirts are ideal other than when visiting the temples. Ladies are required to cover the shoulders as well.
  • The temperature throughout the year in law land areas ranges between 25 to 35 Ċ and in the hill country between 20 to 25 Ċ during the daytime. During the night it can drop a little below 15 Ċ in certain months of the year.
  • Liquor will NOT be served on Poya days [full moon Day] and on any other religious holidays. These are considered dry days. There is a Poya day for each calendar month.
  • All major credit cards will be widely accepted in all reputable outlets. [Restaurants/Shops etc.]

Day 1

Airport to Kandy

After arrival, drive to Kandy, on the way you will proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and Spice Garden.

After visiting the Orphanage, proceed to Kandy. En-route stop by the Matale Spice Garden for a quick visit.

After all, visit the hotel and overnight stay at hotel in Kandy.

Day 2

Kandy

After breakfast, you will proceed to Kandy City tour.

First, you will visit the Royal Botanical Garden. Then, proceed to the Temple of the Tooth.

After that proceed to Bahirawakanda Temple in Kandy. Then, you will proceed to the Gem Museum situated in Kandy. Don’t forget to visit 2nd world war cemetery in Kandy and Bathik and wood carving factory.

In the evening you will be experiencing and enjoying the “Cultural Show” in Kandy, performance of the traditional Kandyan dance accompanied by tumultuous drumming.

After all, back to the hotel and stay relax.

Day 3

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After the breakfast you may proceed to Nuwara Eliya, En-route passing magnificent waterfalls, through pine and eucalyptus forests into immaculately manicured tea plantations and visit a tea factory.

As mentioned above on the way, you will proceed Ambuluwawa Temple tower visit, Ramboda falls and Tea plantations.

After all, visit the hotel and overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4

Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya city tour.

All around town, you will see evidence of the British influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions and the red brick post office. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, the racecourse and the beautiful golf course are the landmarks of the “city above the clouds”.

Visit the tea factory and lush tea plantation. Leisure day in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5

Nuwara Eliya to Ella

After breakfast, we have to catch a train to Ella. Train travel in Sri Lanka is both a beautiful and affordable way to see the country, and no trip is more scenic than the train from Nanu Oya to Ella.

While in Ella, you will be visiting: –

  • Little Adam’s Peak
  • Nine Arch Bridge
  • Ravana Falls

After all, check into the hotel in Wellawaya and stay relax.

Day 6

Wellawaya

After breakfast, you will proceed to Ellewalaella Waterfalls and Diyaluma Waterfalls.

After that back to the hotel and stay relax in Wellawaya.

Day 7

Wellawaya to Udawalawe

After breakfast, you will visit Elephant Transit Home which situated in Udawalwe.

Then, you will proceed to the Udawalawe hotel and stay relax.

Day 8

Udawalawe

After the breakfast, you will proceed to Udawalawe National Park of Sri Lanka, is known for its amazing tourism, wildlife, safaris, elephants, elephant orphanage, hotels, animals and birds. There you will do the safari in the National Park.

After all, you will proceed to the Mirissa and overnight stay hotel.

Day 9

Mirissa to Unawatuna

After breakfast, you will proceed to Mirissa beach for Whale Watching and stay relax at the beach.

Then, you will proceed to Unawatuna or stay in Mirissa (As your arrangement).

Day 10

Galle to Airport

After breakfast, you will visit Galle fort and Relax at the beach

Then, drive to Colombo and You will be transferred to the Airport for your flight back home, accompanied by all the beautiful memories of the tropical isle Sri Lanka once known as TAPROBANE.
